Rion began professionally piercing in 1991 and studied under Fakir Musafar for basic and advanced techniques. The world of piercing and piercing jewelry looked more than a little different at that time; often there were limited options for high quality jewelry and not many variations for unique jewelry designs. Rion found himself innovating new styles of piercing jewelry, and colleagues around the country started asking how to buy these new styles. Over the years as professional piercing progressed, Rion's design ideas elevated in parallel, becoming the acclaimed styles we know today. Rion continues to innovate designs that transcend both traditional piercing jewelry and classic fine jewelry, merging his intricate knowledge of materials and anatomy with uniquely complementary designs to enhance a variety of piercings.
